In less than 48 hours, the long-awaited second season of The Legend Of Vox Machina will premiere on Amazon Prime. It’d be a good idea to refresh your memory as to what happened in previous seasons, or catch up on any episodes you haven’t seen, or just start the thing. But perhaps you’re not in a location where you can access your Amazon Prime account, or you don’t have one. Today’s your lucky day if so…
To promote the new season, Amazon has released EVERY Vox Machina episode from seasons 1 and 2 to its YouTube channel. In case you’re wondering, the company has never done this with any of their shows before, at least not on this scale. No matter where you are, you can start binging the adventures of this rowdy group of mismatched heroes right away. Unless you’re at work. In which case, find a secluded corner.
The Legend Of Vox Machina is based on the liveplay campaign of the same name by Critical Role, a group of voice actors who decided to start recording their D&D sessions and upload them to the Internet — to great success. The animated series stars the same performers: Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Avengers Assemble), Marisha Ray (Fallout 76), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers).
Season 3 will continue the storyline of Vox Machina hunting down the enchanted weapons needed to thwart the world’s greatest threat, a gang of dragons called the Chroma Conclave. In the last previous episode, one of the dragons seemed to have switched allegiances and offered them a deal to take down the others — but can that deal be trusted?
The show probably won’t be free forever, so watch ’em while you can. We would embed one of the episodes below, but they’re all age-restricted and would not show up outside of YouTube itself. We CAN post this recap of Season 2 that just went up, for those who are short on time and just want a brief refresh before The Legend Of Vox Machina returns on October 3.
