Penny Proud should resemble her surname about now. It’s no easy feat to last four seasons on Disney+, a service that has chucked plenty of promising shows after ONE season — shows with established brands, mind you! Sometimes even that’s not enough to save you from the axe.

But The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder has endured. A lot of revivals like this ride a brief nostalgia bump and then sink in ratings quickly. Hulu’s Animaniacs wasn’t perfect, but it should have gotten a fourth season. The Proud Family however just did, on top of the third that is about to premiere next month. The announcement was made this week, accompanying a Season 3 trailer.

Penny puts it well in a new clip: “I am impressed and scared all at the same time.”

As you know, The Proud Family employs a ridiculous amount of guest voices, and that practice will continue with Season 3. Janelle James, Sanaa Lathan, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Lynn Whitfield, Adrienne Warren, Kirk Franklin and Bubba Wallace have been confirmed to be playing characters. That’s on top of their other recurring guest stars: Keke Palmer (as Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins), Billy Porter and Zachary Quinto (Randall and Barry Leibowitz-Jenkins), EJ Johnson (Michael Collins), Asante Blackk (Kareem), Artist “A Boogie” Dubose (Francis “KG” Leibowitz-Jenkins), Bresha Webb (CeCe), Aiden Dodson (BeBe), Carlos Alazraqui (Puff), Al Roker (himself), CeeLo Green (Shuggie), Tiffany Haddish (Ms. Hill), Gabrielle Union (Talia), Chance the Rapper (Darrius), Brenda Song (Vanessa Vue), Lena Waithe (College Maya) and MIYACHI (Billy Chang).

The core cast remains the same: Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama, Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer, Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez, Carlos Mencia as Felix Boulevardez, Alvaro Gutierrez as Papi, Raquel Lee Bolleau as Nubia Gross, Marcus T. Paulk as Myron, and Melissa De Sousa as Sunset Boulevardez.

Season 3 of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will premiere Thursday, August 6 on Disney+; the fourth season will arrive sometime in 2026.
