The works of Dr. Seuss have entertained children, teenagers, and adults for generations, whether you’ve read the books or seen any of the various shows and movies. Now I’m happy to report about three Dr. Seuss projects for the preschool audience coming to Netflix this fall, all produced by Dr. Seuss Enterprises. Here’s everything that you need to know.
These Dr. Seuss projects are spearheaded by Dustin Ferrer, who’s no stranger to preschool animation. She’s written episodes of shows like Blaze And The Monster Machines and Muppet Babies 2018, but is better known for co-creating the Sesame Workshop show Esme And Roy. Each of the projects is designed to bring Dr. Seuss ‘s characters to a new generation of kids.
1. Red Fish, Blue Fish
First up, we have the 2D animated series Red Fish, Blue Fish, which comes out September 8, 2025. Red Fish, Blue Fish is a 2D preschool comedy which follows the adventures of an odd couple of two fish friends as they explore and introduce opposite concepts. The voice cast includes Brian Drummond as Red, Andrea Libman as Blue, and Naomi Tan as the Narrator. The series is produced by Atomic Cartoons, who have animated other Netflix preschool shows like Princess Power and Cocomelon Lane. Despite the show coming out September 8, you can watch an episode now on the Netflix Jr YouTube channel. It’s 2 segments that are about 7 minutes in length.
2. Horton
Up next, we have a CGI TV show called Horton, based on Horton Hears A Who, which comes October 6, 2025. Horton follows the exciting and whimsical adventures of a young Horton and his best bud Samson as they go on adventures to help the citizens of the Jungle of Nool. Dustin Ferrer developed their series alongside Becky Friedman, known for working on shows like TOTS and Rosie’s Rules. The voice cast includes Ethan Monaghan as Horton), Max Mittelman as Samson, and Kitana Turnbull as Jane Kangaroo. The series is produced by Brown Bag Films, known for working on shows lik Doc McStuffins and Dee And Friends In Oz.
3. The Sneetches
Finally we have The Sneeches, which, unlike the other 2 projects, is a 45 minute CGI special. It is still produced by Brown Bag Films though, and comes November 3, 2025. Once upon a time, there were Star-Belly Sneetches and Moon-Belly Sneetches who lived together on the beach, until one day they decided they were too different to live together. So they went their separate ways. But then Stella, a Star-Belly Sneetch, met Pearl, a Moon-Belly Sneetch, and they realized Sneetches are Sneetches, and no one kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.
The main voice cast includes Amari McCoy as Stella, Sophie Petersen as Pearl, and Christopher Fitzgerald as Pelican.
And that’s all we have on the projects. Are you excited for them? Comment below.
