Gabby’s Dollhouse is definitely the most successful franchise to come out of Dreamworks Animation Television. Created by Traci Paige Johnson of Blue’s Clues fame and Jennifer Twomey of Team Umizoomi fame, the preschool show about a girl named Gabby who goes on adventures with her toy cats in her dollhouse has made quite the mark in pop culture ever since it debuted on Netflix on January 5, 2021. It has all kinds of merchandise from stuffed toys to Lego sets to video games. Episodes uploaded to YouTube generate huge numbers. It’s always in Netflix’s list of most watched kids shows. The most standout is with the theatrically released Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Now the momentum keeps going with the release of season 12, which comes out on November 17, 2025.
This season stands out in how we actually know what the episodes are about. Here are the descriptions:
Ep. 1 – “The Wizard of Meow”
With the help of Pandy the Scarecrow, Baby Box the Tin Box, and Marty the Party Lion, Gabby must go to Emerald Kitty City and meet the Wizard of Meow — dodging obstacles from “Bad Witch” Mercat along the way!
Ep. 2 – “Cakey’s Cabinet Cafe”
Cakey reveals an adorable mini eatery inside his kitchen cabinet! Gabby, Pandy and maitre d’CatRat help Cakey get all the things he needs to get his tiny restaurant ready for his tiny customers, the Hamster Kitties!
Ep. 3 – “How to Train Your Kitty Dragon”
Huzzah! CatRat the Brave meets a baby kitty dragon who gets stuck on a marshmallow tower in the Kingdom of Squish! It’s up to brave knights Gabby and Pandy to help CatRat rescue his dragon friend, only to discover he can’t see very well and needs an eye exam!
Ep. 4 – “The Magic Bananas”
Gabby unboxes special magic bananas where there’s a little magic in every bite! Silly shenanigans ensue in the dollhouse with the Gabby Cats taking turns surprising one another with their magical powers.
Ep. 5 – “The Good to Be a Gabby Cat Game Show”
Live from Gabby’s bedroom is the “Good to Be a Gabby Cat Game Show!” Instead of meeting up in the Dollhouse, the Gabby Cats are joining her in her bedroom with a special game to celebrate all kinds of cat-tastic memories from the littlest wins to the biggest whoopsies.
These certainly sound like pretty fun episodes. The series stars Laila Lockhart Kraner as Gabby, Logan Bailey as Pandy Paws, Secunda Wood as MerCat, Donovan Patton as CatRat, Juliet Donenfeld as Cakey Cat, Tara Strong as Kitty Fairy and Mama Box, Maggie Lowe as Baby Box, Carla Tassara as Carlita, Darren Criss as Marty The Party Cat, Eduardo James Franco as DJ Catnip, and Sainty Nelsen as Pillow Cat. Katie McWane Diecker serves as voice director.
