Lily Allen‘s new album ‘West End Girl’ is set for release on a butt plug-shaped USB Drive. Find all the details below.
The singer-songwriter dropped her long-awaited fifth record in October, just four days after announcing the “vulnerable” surprise project. It follows on from her 2018 LP, ‘No Shame’.
‘West End Girl was written and recorded following the breakdown of the artist’s marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, after he allegedly cheated on her. In a four-star review, NME described the project as a “vicious, vulnerable and victorious comeback”.
Now, Allen has launched a NSFW edition of the album in line with its sexual themes. The “limited” blue-and-white polka dot USB drive is available now via Allen’s official webstore, priced at £24.99.
The product is seemingly a reference to the explicit ‘West End Girl’ track ‘Pussy Palace’, in which the pop artist discovers her partner’s secret bag, containing “sex toys, butt plugs, lube [and] hundreds of Trojans“.
Allen’s new USB drive includes MP3 versions of the songs from the record. According to the official listing, the “novelty” device is “intended for data storage only”. It is due to arrive on January 30 – pre-order here.
