Paris Jackson has celebrated six years of sobriety, and told others struggling with mental health battles that they are “not alone”.
The 27-year-old, who is a singer, model, and actor, is also the only daughter of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Over the years, she has spoken candidly about her struggles with drug use and mental health, and also opened up to fans about her progress since getting sober in 2020.
Now, she has shared another update to mark the start of 2026 and celebrate her sixth year since she stopped drinking alcohol.
Looking at the progress she has made, she posted a montage of events from the past 12 months. She also shared the emotional message that saw her reveal that sobriety isn’t by any means an “indication that life is perfect”.
“A few years in, it all got very, very hard for what felt like an eternity,” she said. “I didn’t have the same survival skills, I was used to having to cope. I had to learn to live life on life’s terms.”
Detailing various struggles she has faced in recent years, Paris told followers: “Treatment-resistant major depressive disorder is a bitch, so is PTSD and OCD. If you’ve got this shit or anything of the sort, you’re not alone. Hang in there, and if no one’s told you they love you today, I love you.”
