Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever Return with Epic New Single “Sunburned in London”

Australian indie-rock staples Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have ended a four-year hiatus with the release of their new single, “Sunburned in London,” out today via I Oh You. This marks the quintet’s first new music since 2022’s Endless Rooms and finds the band leaning into their most expansive tendencies. Clocking in at over six minutes, the track features the group’s signature propulsive rhythms and shimmering guitar work, led by an understated yet emotive vocal performance from Tom Russo.

Tom Russo discussed the inspiration behind the sprawling new track:

“As a band, we have always made songs about cities. I was thinking about sensory overload and relentless beauty, and the creeping feeling in the streets that the party’s winding up and the lights are about to come on.”

To celebrate the release, the band shared a live performance video filmed at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre, featuring guest appearances by Stella Donnelly, Sophie Ozard, and Julia Wallace. Alongside the new music, the group has announced a special headline show at the same venue for February 17th, 2026. In a refreshing move for fans, tickets are priced at just $10, following a recent “secret” comeback show in Victoria that sold out in under sixty seconds.
