There is a jangle here, the likes of which suggests a bright and open heart and Jody Glenham and the way she turns out those words of her confirms that we’re in for a happiness top-up. Once you don’t look too far into the narrative that is because there may be a broken-heart inspiring every syllable, but this act has such of way of framing pain that it feels like joy to the rest of us. Reminded me a lot of Debbie Harry so we are really talking about premium alt pop here. KH
