Green Man 2026 Unveils Star-Studded Lineup for Sold-Out Edition

Wales’ largest independent festival, Green Man, has revealed its first major wave of programming for 2026, promising a “temporary utopia” in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Leading the bill are electronic visionary Four Tet, Chicago indie legends Wilco, and the pioneering Scottish post-rock outfit Mogwai, who will headline the opening Thursday night. Closing the festival on Sunday are London’s Wolf Alice, arriving fresh off their 2026 BRIT Award win for Group of the Year and the massive success of their latest record, The Clearing.

The 2026 lineup is a spotlight on its eclectic curation, balancing global icons with the next generation of headliners. Highlights include Cat Power celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Greatest, a rare return for The Beta Band on their first tour in 21 years, and performances from Aldous Harding, Dry Cleaning, and Wednesday. The festival also maintains its deep-rooted commitment to Welsh talent, welcoming back Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon and Cate Le Bon, alongside rising Cardiff stars Panic Shack.

While music remains the heartbeat of the event, the sold-out festival continues to offer a multi-disciplinary experience across 16 stages, featuring comedy, science, and wellness. From the family-focused “Little Folk” area to the “Nature Nurture” wellness sanctuary and the festival’s own Welsh Beer and Cider celebration, Green Man remains a standout fixture for its creative freedom and egalitarian spirit. Though tickets sold out instantly upon release, hopeful attendees can still look to the official resale platform, Tixel, for a chance to attend the August 20th–23rd gathering.
