FAITH PLATES – “Cadmium”

A memorable new track from Berlin-based artist FAITH PLATES, Cadmium” is propelled by a stirringly beautiful vocal presence. Initially solo in the spine-tingling allure, these vocals captivate tonally and also in lyrical depth. “Sold my heart again, hoping time will heal / The more it passed the more I feel, dispersed exponentially,” her vocals let out, accompanied thereafter by trickling guitar lushness and a slight rhythmic pulse.

A reference to heartbreak and how “all seas tumble, my heart they drown” is strikingly conveyed as multiple vocal layers assemble with ghostly entrancement, continuing to be bolstered by the magnetic guitar ethereality and lightly shimmering backing texture. “Cadmium is an impactful, emotive standout from FAITH PLATES, coming ahead of her upcoming debut album PATTERN RECOGNITION, out this spring.
