‘NieR’ confirms 2026 orchestral soundtrack tour

Square Enix has announced details of a NieR orchestral soundtrack tour that will kick off later this year.

‘NieR Orchestra Concert: 12026 [YoRHa]’ will feature a full orchestra and choir alongside original NieR singers Emi Evans and J’Nique Nicole. The music will soundtrack visuals from the game while “narrated episodes” featuring voice actors Yui Ishikawa (No.2), Reina Tanaka (No.4), Mio Hanana (No.21), and Chihira Mochida (No. 16) will tell a new story related to NieR: Automata prequel Pearl Harbor Descent Operation. “Experience the ever-expanding musical universe of NieR,” reads the official website.

The shows will be conducted by Eric Roth while the game’s composer Keiichi Okabe, director Yoko Taro and producer Yosuke Saito “may each appear as special guests at select concerts.”

The ‘NieR Orchestra Concert: 12026 [YoRHa]’ tour is set to kick off in Seattle this August before a string of North American dates. A handful of European dates have also been confirmed.

Tickets for the orchestral tour go on sale April 3 and can be found here.

Square Enix has also announced an all-new symphonic concert series – ‘The Music Of Square Enix: Magic, Memories And Melodies’. According to a press release, the show will “celebrate the unforgettable worlds and iconic soundtracks that have defined generations of video game storytelling and adventure,” and feature music from beloved video games Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Legend Of Mana, NieR, Octopath Traveler and more.

‘The Music Of Square Enix: Magic, Memories And Melodies’ kicks off next month and will visit London in June.

In other news, Epic Games has announced more than 1000 members of staff have been laid off and three Fortnite games will be scrapped in an attempt to cut costs.
