Lambrini Girls have shared a tongue-in-cheek new single called ‘Cult Of Celebrity’, which sees them take aim at the corruption among the elite.

The track arrives today (Tuesday March 31), and sees the Brighton punk duo call out abuse, corruption and lack-of-morality from those in the top one per cent of society.

Just over two-minutes long, the brief, punchy track centres around an explosive, ‘60s-tinged guitar riff, and sees both Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Selin Macieira (bass) shed light on the dark underbelly and backdoor dealings of the world’s global elites, some of which has been exposed in recent years.

Welcome to the one-percent/ Please ignore the young women who disappear with Harvey at his famous dinner parties/Hollywood Boulevard, jumbo jets, secret clubs/ They can be young as you want, just don’t get caught,” Lunny sings, building towards the chorus.

The devil’s on your shoulder with one hell of an offer/ Don’t you wanna see how the other half live?/ Give me love, give me fame, play God, kiss of death/The devil’s on your shoulder with one hell of a deal/Takе it!

The track also comes with a music video directed by London-based filmmaker and director Harv Frost (The Last Dinner Party, Laufey). Check it out above.

“The age old tale, of selling your soul to the devil has been fabled accounts of high society for years,” Lambrini Girls say of the new single. “However due to recent events come to light- it turns out that the elite are very much actually, the devil incarnate, baby eating, pedos. What a fucking surprise! They had no souls to sell in the first place.”

The song follows on from Lambrini Girls sharing their debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out‘ last year. NME praised that record in a five-star review, writing: “With ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’, Lambrini Girls prove punk is alive and kicking. They’re unapologetically amplifying chaos, calling out societal wrongs, and daring us all to feel something. This record is loud, raw, and impossible to ignore.”

Before then, we spoke to them for The Cover in December 2024, and the duo told us about the importance of humour in their music.

“Humour is such a good way to disarm people,” Lunny told us, with Maciera adding: “It’s like wrapping a pill in a slice of ham and feeding it to a dog. That’s what we try and do with humour and politics to make it digestible. Buy them dinner first – and then fuck ’em.”

The duo have a huge number of live shows planned for 2026, including slots at festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, Gothenburg’s Way Out West, 2000 Trees, Dot To Dot, and more. Visit here for tickets.
