Kanye West has kicked off his ambitious 2026 world tour in LA amidst his Wireless booking controversy.
The rapper’s new album ‘BULLY’ dropped last Wednesday (March 25), and West has now embarked on the first show of his 2026 ‘Ye: Homecoming’ tour.
Streaming the entire show to his Instagram, Ye played at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California yesterday (Wednesday April 1). He implemented grand staging, donned a black mask, and performed atop a ginormous glowing dome.
Despite his history of controversial anti-Semitic remarks, there was a huge wave of fans who attended West’s show last night.
Ye also brought out several guests during the show, including his daughter North, who has begun her own burgeoning music career. She performed ‘TALKING’, which appeared on West’s collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign ‘VULTURES‘ (¥$ song), along with her own solo track ‘PIERCING ON MY HAND’. Don Toliver and Andre Troutman also made appearances during the show.
The show also experienced numerous production issues, with the New York Post reporting that the concert was paused several times. West went on to “throw a tantrum about the lights” during a performance of his 2007 song ‘Good Life’, calling them “corny”.
When production failed to make West’s requested changes, he said (as per The LA Times): “Is this like an SNL skit or something?”
Fans have praised Ye’s artistry, claiming that West is “the only artist that pushes art this far”. Another user suggested that Ye “really needs to be allowed to curate a Superbowl halftime show”. See West’s return to the stage, fan reactions and the full setlist below:
