The second season of Last One Laughing UK may have come to an end, but can UK viewers catch up on the international versions? Find out below.
The show is a reality contest in which a group of comedians are forced to spend a period of six hours together in the same room. They are tasked with making each other laugh, and one by one they are eliminated if they are unable to keep a straight face.
The first season of the UK version premiered on Amazon Prime Video in March 2025, with Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty hosting. Bob Mortimer proved to be the winner of that season, last eliminating Richard Ayoade.
The six episodes of season two are streaming now, with Mortimer returning to defend his crown against the new contenders: David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Amy Gledhill, Sam Campbell, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Maisie Adam.
The second season has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with some critics declaring it “the funniest TV show of the year”.
Both UK seasons of the show are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video now.
It has been based on the Japanese show Documental, which follows the same format and has been running on Prime Video since its debut in 2016. There have been 13 seasons in total so far and for UK subscribers, six of those seasons are available to stream now.
The British version is far from the only international adaptation, however – in fact, there are now over 30 different incarnations of Last One Laughing around the world, and the majority of them are available to watch now on Prime Video.
Some of the most noteworthy versions include LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland, which is hosted by Graham Norton and the sole version is streaming now. There is also a Canadian version hosted by Jay Baruchel, a South African one presented by Trevor Noah, and an Australian version with Rebel Wilson as host.
A UK Prime Video subscription also gives you access to Last One Laughing seasons from Mexico, Germany, Nigeria, France, Poland, Philippines, Sweden and Denmark.
The success of the UK version makes it extremely likely that it will be returning for a third season, probably in April 2027, although this is yet to be formally confirmed.
