‘Pokémon All Stars 1025’ is sung by Japanese artist Masayoshi Oishi and features the names of all 1025 Pokémon that exist across the universe of games, trading cards, movies and TV shows.

The huge project has been split into five parts, with the first chunk of ‘Pokémon All-Stars 1025’ out now. The upbeat track features the Japanese names of 213 different Pokémon including old favourites Pikachu, Psyduck and Dragonite alongside more modern ‘Mon such as Krokorok, Miraidon and Hippopotas. The rest of ‘Pokémon All-Stars 1025’ will be released in the near future. There’s no word if an official English version is planned.

Earlier this year, The Pokémon Company shared a video which saw Lady Gaga duet with singing Pokémon Jigglypuff. The What’s Your Favourite’ anniversary campaign was designed to “illustrate the brand’s mission to bring people together through a shared love of Pokémon and honour its growing audience of diverse, global and multigenerational fans across three decades.” The advert also featured BLACKPINK’s JISOO, Trevor Noah, F1 driver Charles Leclerc, Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko, Spanish soccer star Lamine Yamal and actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan talking about their favourite Pokémon.

Later this year, Marshmello will headline a pair of Pokémon ‘Night Out’ EDM gigs in London and LA, alongside Alison Wonderland as part of the ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations. Four “family-focused” and “immersive” ‘Day Out’ events in France, the United States, Germany and Mexico are also planned for this summer.

So far this year, two new Pokémon games have been released (cutesy life sim Pokopia and battle title Champions), a pop-up has taken over London’s Natural History Museum and collaborations have been released with Lego, Puma and Grind Coffee.

In other news, the stunning MIO: Memories In Orbit soundtrack is getting a vinyl release.
