German band Glimmer and Fold (formerly known as The Taste) craft an absorbing sound on “Flying Objects,” achieving a hypnotic allure in its mixture of subdued guitar jangles, dreamy vocals, and escalating hookiness. “So you are flying, high below the sea,” ethereal vocals let out during the track’s magnetic chorus, bursting with memorable guitars following an ascent that’s delectably subdued in its twanging spaciousness.

The final minute is especially resonating, achieving a harder-rocking fervor as fuzzy guitars and elongated vocal passion coexist with wonderful cohesion. Excelling in both lush introspection and rousing rock, “Flying Objects” is a striking success of a track from Glimmer and Fold.
