After high winds temporarily shut down her set on Saturday night (April 25), Lainey Wilson brought out some special guests for her headline set at Stagecoach.
The country music festival, this year headlined by Wilson, Post Malone, and Cody Johnson, updated its schedule after a temporary evacuation due to high winds.
Wilson was headlining the festival’s main stage after an hour-long delay, during which festival-goers were ordered to evacuate Indio’s Empire Polo Club because of extreme weather conditions, before being allowed back in an hour later.
An emergency evacuation message showed up on screens on the festival’s Mane Stage yesterday, initially telling fans: “The festival has been postponed until further notice. Please move quickly and calmly to the nearest exit.”
After eventually stepping out on stage, Wilson looked out at the crowd and said of the unplanned break: “I hope y’all sat in your cars and drank some tequila.” Several acts were cut from the Stagecoach line-up following the evacuation, with scheduled sets by Gavin Adcock and Pitbull delayed, while Journey and Riley Green had their performances axed altogether.
