Cash is getting us right back to Elliott Smith territory, but it needs to be said that there is more besides. And ‘Kerosene’ is a prime example for there is filling of the nodes that points to upwardly mobile so despite the presence of melancholy every now and then things feel like they are going to be better than ok. That comes from a chorus that is subtle and which point in the direction of ebullient. And it duly arrived when ‘Kerosene’ ignited but again in a fashion that is representative of an act who plays the elegant hand. The self same digits appear capable of greatness now too. KH
