Ghost Concert #05 — Mystery Inc

Oh no. The musical numbers are back.

Impressions:

Didn't live up to the utter insanity of last week's episode, but the first half certainly seems like they've still lost control of the script. Suddenly, it's a month later, she's captured another half dozen ghosts off-screen, and the compound of teenage girls in the woods filled with what are effectively child soldier revolutionary terrorists is a tourist trap. So it's time to go off and fight some other random ghost. In an abandoned carnival. At midnight. Okay, Scooby. But she sings too much, which pisses off the AI and an armada of drones shows up… just to be evaporated off-screen, and I guess the AI decided it'd had enough and was done.

Anyway, it turns out that the ghost is Florence Nightingale, who was with a fellow child soldier who ran away from… uh… child soldiering, I guess, which made her go crazy. Also, the good guys have entire secret compounds of child soldiers who they buy and train to be assassins. Off screen. No you can't see it. Same with the apparently pyrrhic war happening somewhere off-screen that it's just like "Another thousand of our compatriots sacrificed themselves for the cause." Uh, sure. The cause. The compatriots. The things we've totally heard about before now. We all know it's just going to end up being some girl's brain in a jar. That's always what evil AIs end up being.
